suicide alertness Training

September 12 | 9 AM - Noon | FUMC Conference Center

Join us for safeTALK Suicide Alertness Training. This free, three-hour practical workshop is open to anyone age 15 and older and will equip you to become a suicide-alert helper—someone who can notice subtle calls for help, move past the tendency to avoid conversations about suicide, and connect someone experiencing suicidal thoughts with community support, safety, and hope. This workshop is presented by Patty Rives, MSW, LCSW and materials are provided by the Baton Rouge Crisis Intervention Center. Hosted by FUMC and Methodists for Social Justice. Free and open to the public.
