PARISH NURSE Ministry
The mission of the Parish Nurse Program is to serve the health needs of individu als and communities in a wholistic manner. FUMC is partnered with Our Lady of the Lake's Parish Nurse Program. The congregational nurse (parish nurse) promtoes health and healing while intertwining faith and health within the faith context of each congregation.

MONTHLY FOCUS: Hurricane Preparedness
HEALTH TIP: Listen to the TV or radio for weather bulletins, stay away from windows, leave home if you might be affected by storm tide or flooding, follow evacuation routes to nearest shelter, turn off electricity and water, fill containers, including bathtub, with several days of drinking water, turn up refirgerator to maximum cold, but don't open if not necessary and have an EMERGENCY PLAN and get supplies ahead of time.
PREVENT THE SPREAD OF DISEASE... Wash your hands and cover the cough!
